Born in Puglia but living in Milan, Silvio Coppola was one of the most multifaceted and versatile designers of the twentieth century.

Author of international editorial graphics (among which the covers for Feltrinelli stand out), Coppola is known in the world of furniture for his geometric furniture. Dating back mainly to the Sixties and inspired by the Lombard cabinet-making tradition, they are made for Bernini, a company for which Coppola was also art director; a role that is added to the role of artistic director for other prestigious companies, from “Bayer Italia2 to Cinzano, from “Laminati Plastici” to “Tessitura di Mompiano”.

For many brands Coppola has created the corporate logo and its applications. In all his projects Silvio Coppola aims at a fusion between graphics, architecture and industrial design, an attitude that leads him, in 1968, to found on this principle the “Gruppo ED Exhibition Design”, supported by important graphic designers of his time such as Giulio Confalonieri, Franco Grignani, Bruno Munari and Pino Tovaglia.

His works are held in the permanent collections of prestigious museums including the MoMA in New York, the “Raccolta Universitaria” in Paris and the “Collezione Bertarelli” in Milan.
